PIONEER FISHING LODGE

How to get here: 

Pioneer Fishing Lodge is situated on Highway 16 (the Yellowhead Highway), just 13km from the town of Terrace and 135km from Prince Rupert. We are a 20 minute drive from the YXT airport.

• From Terrace and heading West on Highway 16 (towards Rupert) We are 12.5km from the Sande Overpass (where the Highway crosses above the railway lines in the centre of Terrace - the MacDonald's 'M' is in front of you at the traffic lights). Continue along HW16, drive over the Kalum River, passing the Fisherman's Boat Launch (left) and Tempo gas station (right). Drive over the Zymacord River and up the hill, which becomes a 'passing lane' or dual carriageway. Keep right. Pass Yellow Cedar on your left and Pioneer Lodge is the next drive on your right, there is a blue highway sign. The entrance is immediately past the rock bluff. If you miss us there is a turning area just beyond the brow of the hill.

• From Prince Rupert heading East on Highway 16 (towards Terrace) we are exactly 12 km from the Shames Mountain turnoff, on your left. There is a blue highway sign just before the driveway and you will see our post and rail fence.
